“EmpowerHer: Celebrating Women in Contemporary Art” is an initial exhibition held by Art:1 Community Program. This inclusive assortment exhibits works that recognize and celebrate women’s stories and appreciate women’s roles in shaping the community. This selection will invite viewers to witness how women plays an integral role in artistic creation in two ways; First, how arts are born as a woman’s own manifestation, and second, how their beauty and stories inspire others enough to be captured and immortalized in an artistic format-for others to see, appreciate, and experience. Through this series of traditional paintings, digital illustrations, and mixed media art, artists of various backgrounds, genders, and generations can floor their most heartfelt sentiment through their own narration and artistic exploration.
