Several of Yawara's works addressing environmental issues include "Wounded Equator" in 2020, "Wisdom Behind Disaster" in 2021, and the Angkara Series 1 and 2 in 2022. The first piece in the Angkara series predominantly employs batik patchwork as the primary medium, accented with red yarn and beads. These batik fabrics encompass a range of colors, including red, black, orange, and purple, arranged in a gradient. Medium to large-sized tears are scattered across the surface of the artwork, presenting a confronting image of a destructive red figure. This conveys Yawara's message about the wrath of nature, as it reacts to humans exploiting its resources and wealth. The balance of nature has been disrupted, and it is now time for nature to retaliate against such destructive behavior.
