Nyoman Erawan, born May 27, 1958, in Bali, emerged from an artistic upbringing and pursued his passion for art through formal education at Denpasar's Secondary School of Fine Arts and later at Institut Seni Indonesia. His art, influenced by both Balinese traditions and Western techniques, reflects the dialogue between these worlds. Since 1983, Erawan has explored diverse artistic realms, showcasing themes of creation, preservation, and destruction inspired by the Balinese-Hindu philosophy of Trimurti. His versatile talent spans paintings, installations, video, and performance art, exhibited widely both in Indonesia and internationally.
