Sindoedarsono Soedjojono (14December 1913 – 25 March 1985), he was a legendary painter in Indonesia. Beginning with Trisno Soemardjo, Sudjojono is known as the Father of Indonesian Modern Art. This nickname was given to him because Sudjojono was the first Indonesian artist to introduce the modernity of Indonesian art in the context of the factual condition of the Indonesian nation. He introduced ketok soul or "visible soul" as the identity of Indonesian art. He used to write his name with “S.Sudjojono.
