Desy Febrianti

Desy Febrianti was born in Purbalingga, Central Java, on December 11, 1996. After completing her education at Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI), Yogyakarta, Desy decided to stay in that city. Since 2018, his creations have been part of various art exhibitions, establishing her presence in the Indonesian art scene. Desy's works often visualize movement and flow, expressing the life flow, which is sometimes unknown but can be planned, navigating the delicate balance between certainty and uncertainty. Through abstract visuals and the painting process, she seeks to represent the unfiltered reality of her lived experience. In her artistic pursuits, Desy frequently explores the challenges faced by women in their life journeys, drawing inspiration from the psychological aspects of women seeking their own existential purpose. She was Inspired by artists such as Lisa Morgan, Amy Wright, Flora Yukhnovich, Ian Rayer Smith, and Melanie Daniel. His recent solo exhibition achievements include "Sign of Soul," held at Art:1 New Museum, Jakarta in 2022, and "Self Projection," held at ISI Yogyakarta's R. J. Katamsi Gallery in 2023.
